Focus is on joint protection and alignment, as well as body awareness for your comfort and safety.

Learn to listen to your body and choose to modify yoga poses to suit your own needs. Let go of ideals and take care of yourself in the here and now.

Ideal for those who:

  • are new to yoga and want to learn how to do it properly and safely
  • are just beginning to exercise
  • have some limitations due to pain, limited range of motion, fatigue, obesity

Sit Up and Notice

Introductory classes that teach you basic, beginner level yoga postures while sitting in a chair and/or using it for support.

Focus is on joint mobility to ease stiffness, improve your general body movement and ability to do activities of daily living.

Attention is given to pacing and adapting basic yoga poses for you to optimize movement and positioning in a safe, effective way.

Ideal for those who:

  • are new to yoga and want to learn how to do it properly and safely
  • are just beginning to exercise
  • have some limitations due to pain, limited range of motion, fatigue, obesity

Smooth Moves

Yoga postures are combined into gentle flowing sequences that keep your body moving and wake up your heart! — all while sitting in a chair and/or using it for support.

Focus is on developing your muscle strength, flexibility and endurance using slow, careful sequences and controlled breathing techniques.

Ideal for those people who:

  • want to feel both invigorated and relaxed after exercise
  • prefer not to, or are unable to, move down to floor level to exercise
  • are not limited by pain during or after repetitive movement

Go Softly

Take time to feel your body move as you breathe deeply to stay in a pose long enough to enjoy that you are not pushing yourself.

Focus is on equally strengthening, stretching, increasing flexibility and repairing muscles that are in need of love.

There is no hurry to finish a sequence. It’s all about relaxing and allowing yourself and your body to have as much relaxation as you want.

  • are not limited by pain during or after repetitive movement
  • just want to take some quiet time for themselves

Wake-up & Unwind

Treat yourself to a stimulating and balanced mind-body workout as you breathe deeply and move your body through a slow and steady flow of poses.

Focus is on giving your heart and lungs a light workout while strengthening and stretching the rest of your body to increase flexibility and endurance.

  • want to feel both invigorated and relaxed after exercise
  • are not limited by pain during or after repetitive movement
  • are able to move easily from standing to the floor for kneeling, sitting, lying down

Contemplative Yoga
